Daily Wear
Students are not expected to wear a uniform in Sixth Form.
However, students should not wear:
- Hoodies with logos – plain, clean dark blue or black hoodies are acceptable.
- Tracksuits or sportswear – including t-shirts
- Sliders
- Scruffy clothes or trainers
- Football strips
- Tops that are revealing – midriff or shoulders/chest
- Short skirts
- High heels
- Blue/light coloured jeans – very dark or black smart jeans are acceptable.
We ask that students consider sixth form as an opportunity to prepare for adult life and therefor dress smart casual in a way that represents pride in themselves and the college.
Formal Days
As part of their preparation for work, we expect students to ‘dress up’ in work attire on Mondays and Tuesday.
This means:
- Smart trousers or chino style trousers
- A shirt with optional tie
- Smart dress shoes – no extreme heels or open toes
- Skirt
- Blouse
- Work appropriate dresses
Work Experience Clothing
We will provide students with a Pathfinder polo-shirt which can be worn during work experience – unless a student’s placement expects another form of dress – ie. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
When representing the college – such as during an event, we ask students to wear their Pathfinder polo and a pair of dark coloured, smart jeans or chinos (dark blue or black)
Students may wear a smart black cardigan or jumper with the polo.
