Snowfields Academy has celebrated another first in its five years of being open – this summer has seen results from both the Cranbrook and Bearsted colleges, we are absolutely delighted with the results and are incredibly proud of all our students.
Snowfields students had the opportunity to sit a mixture of Functional Skills and GCSEs across their Key Stage 4 and 5 years and teaching and support staff have worked closely to ensure that all of our students have been able to access qualifications that are aspirational for their individual needs.
Notable achievements include:
- Frank – an absolutely amazing suite of GCSEs including 6 in higher maths, 5 in statistics and 7/6 in science!
- Jude – a fantastic set of results including a 6/5 in Science, a 5/6 in English language and literature and a 5/5 in maths and statistics.
- James – a brilliant achievement in many subjects including a Level 1 Distinction Technical Award in Health and Fitness and a 5/4 in GCSE science.
- Matthew – an amazing 5 GCSEs at over Grade 4.
- Mikey – achieved 86% in his Level 1 Digital Skills and 5/6 at GCSE English language and literature.
- Alex – a notable achievement of 5/4 at GCSE English language and literature and grade 5 in higher maths.
All of our students have secured places for their next steps including our Post 16 students who have either moved into further education or employment.
Principal, Dee Pickerill commented:
“I am very proud that we can now celebrate results from both Bearsted and Cranbrook. Our students have overcome challenges and worked to their strengths and their results speak for themselves. Once again our students have performed exceptionally well in science, english literature, art and IT, and we have had some excellent results in other subjects. Thank you to all of the staff who have supported our students so well, with their learning and their wider needs. We are delighted that so many of our students have achieved the results they need to leave us and take their next steps elsewhere, and look forward to welcoming those students who are staying with us for their 6th form in our Pathfinder College.”
